Please find the work for the week ahead, we have less questions for the novel this week, with only one activity per chapter per day. We would like if you could send us in one or two of these activities. You can choose which you'd like us to see. We do not have to put your work on the blog, it is us our way of encouraging you in your work.
On Tuesday & Wednesday this week in Maths we will be looking at 3-D shapes. You are very familiar with this topic as it reguarly comes up in our Mental Maths. If you're stuck the pages of shapes at the back of your Mental Maths might help. On Thursday & Friday we have a Maths Mystery. It involves a bit of problem solving and revises lots of different maths skills that we have learned about. You must open the pdf file that says Maths Mystery Introduction first. It will explain what you need to do. Then there are 10 clues (which can be found in the 2nd maths pdf). When you solve all 10 clues you should 10 digits. We will put the full 10 digits up in the answers page on Friday.
You have two pieces of Irish writing to do this week. We would really like for you to send us in at least one of the pieces. We are attaching pdfs to help support you in your writing. Keep it simple and accurate.
We have attached a geography chapter from Small World and we are asking you to complete the activities in it. This chapter explores the county of Sligo in detail using maps and images. The geographical language and geographical skills are important to develop.
We plan to set you a geography based project on your local area next week. As you're reading the chapter on Sligo this week, keep in mind think how you might use similar pieces of evidence e.g aerial images, historical images and Ordnance Survey maps to describe your local area.
